The hall is a great place to meet and enjoy your favourite hobby and pastime. It brings together people from across the village and beyond. These are just some of the clubs using the hall on a regular basis.
Youth Club
We meet every first and third Thursday of the month from 7.30-9.30pm. We do various activities including football, bastkeball, baking and general crafts.
We do ask that children are collected from the hall itself.

Capel-le-Ferne with Alkham Women's Institute
Meeting in the hall on the second Tuesday of the month, the WI continues to be busy - Darts, Crafts, Scrabble, Home Economics and Book Share just some of the things in our monthly diary. The subjects of our speakers range from musical theatre through to retail outlets and our fundraising opportunities include bingo and wine and wisdom evenings. We always welcome new members so don't be shy and come and see us - we're also at the village hall for the Farmers market on a Tuesday morning so feel free to come and have a chat.

100 Club
Would you like to know an inexpensive way to support our wonderful Village Hall to keep it the vibrant hub it is?
We run a 100+ Club - current year (Oct 25-Sep 26)
Profits go to run Community events, continuing refurbishment of the hall, replacement of assets as required and the standard outgoings of electricity, gas, insurance, maintenance etc.
For the outlay of just £12 per number for the whole year, or pro-rata during the year, you will be entered into a monthly draw for three cash prizes, £25 / £15 / £5, doubled at Christmas. The draw usually takes place at the Village Hall Committee Management Meeting on the first Tuesday of each month.
To join in, please email secretary.cvhmc@gmail.com or collect a form from in the Village Hall foyer. You can pop it, and the fee, to Kath Hounsell, 134 New Dover Road or to Cherry Leppard at Farmers Market on any Tuesday.

Yoga with Janet

Capel-le-Ferne
Parish Council
Your Parish Council: serves the village, with 9 Councillors.
They manage the Parish Precept, by way of dealing with and funding. a variety of items to the benefit of the location and its community.
Councillors meet: at the Village Hall (small hall) on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, (except December), from 7.30pm.

A surgery is also held: when a Councillor and the Clerk are available if parishioners have an issue, they wish to discuss. These are held on the 1st Tuesday of the month, from 10am to 12noon, at the Farmers’ Market, (in room adjacent to entrance).

Capel-le-Ferne Gardeners Association
meet on the third Tuesday of each month, from February to October, 7:15 for 7:30pm, at St. Radigund’s Church, with interesting speakers and occasional quiz evenings or Beetle-drives. We have three shows in the Village Hall, Spring show for 2026 was on March 8th, Summer show will be on July 4th and the Autumn Show will be on September 5th. These are open shows and a schedule of classes is available free. Public entry to the shows from 2:30pm, with presentation of awards from 3:45pm. Tea, Coffee, and a good selection of cakes available from our volunteer caterers, and the ever-popular Tombola stall. We also arrange an outing each year, currently to Penshurst Gardens, on June 14th. New members always welcome, come along to our events or meet us at the Farmers’ Market, monthly, on the third Tuesday, March to October.

Bridge Club
We meet every Friday in the main hall starting at 2pm (please arrive by 1.50) with an approximate 5pm finish. Duplicate bridge is played in a friendly and informal manner. Players of all standards are welcome, including players with limited experience or returning to the game, and the Club provides an intro to the world of competitive bridge. A host is always available for those without a partner on the day, so you are guaranteed a game. The Table money is £2.50 per player which includes tea, filter coffee and biscuits on a "help yourself" basis.
The Club is called the East Kent Bridge Club.

Capel Short
Mat Bowls Club
Capel short mat bowls club was established
in 1987 following a generous donation from the Capel Parish Council. After 40 years we are still going strong!!
Our roll up times are as follows…
Tuesday Night 7:15pm till 9:30pm
Wednesday Afternoon 2:00 till 4:00pm
We also play on a Sunday afternoon 2:00 till 4:00 pm.
We have many social events and we have teams in the East Kent league and Shepway league.
New members are always welcome and you can come along to any Tuesday night or Wednesday afternoon meeting to give the game a try and we can lend you the equipment to play, flat shoes or stocking feet are permitted but no outside shoes allowed on the mats.

Folkestone Twirlstars
Folkestone Twirlstars are a non-profit, recreational and competitive baton twirling team, welcoming children from the ages of 3 upwards. Classes develop skills in baton twirling, dancing, poms, and coordination, as well as strength and flexibility.
Performing in local fetes, carnivals and events within the community, as well as competitions around the country should their dreams take them in this direction.
Children can expect to grow in confidence and sportsmanship, learning determination and resilience whilst being embraced by a friendly and supportive team.
Build confidence, gain friendships, and have fun along the way!
